Genetics and Genomics Winter School (GGWS)

Genetic Epidemiology Research Alliance (GERA) is collaborating with the University of Queensland for their 5th Genetics and Genomics Winter School (GGWS). GGWS provides hands-on training in cutting-edge statistical and computational methods for genetic or genomic data analysis. There are 6 learning modules on offer, covering contemporary genetics subjects with a strong emphasis on practical exercises.

When:  6th-10th July 2026
Where: The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. In-person only.

 This course is tailored to those who:

  • Work with genomic data and aim to enhance analytical skills with new methods and tools
  • Seek insights into the black box of statistical methods for genetics and genomics
  • Work in related fields requiring statistical analysis and have some knowledge in genetics

Undergraduate students, postgraduate students and early-career postdocs (within 5 years) are eligible to apply for scholarships to support travel and registration fees (applications due 29th May).
