Expertise
Researcher

Zhoufeng is a research fellow in cancer genetic epidemiology with a strong academic background and a deep passion for understanding disease mechanisms, particularly in breast cancer. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Preventive Medicine—a major integrating biomedical sciences and public health—followed by a master’s degree in Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health in China. She then completed her PhD at the Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics at The University of Melbourne. With specialised expertise in studying mammographic features, causal inference and analysing family and omics data, Zhoufeng brings valuable knowledge to genetic epidemiology by uncovering genetic and environmental determinants of an independent breast cancer risk factor based on mammographic features. Currently, she is actively engaged in research projects focusing on epigenetic mechanisms related to health outcomes, aiming to contribute to improving prevention and treatment strategies.
